Che Adams is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker for Premier League club Southampton and the Scotland national team. He was born on July 13, 1996, in Leicester, England. Adams began his career with non-league club Oadby Town before moving to Sheffield United's academy in 2014. He made his professional debut for Sheffield United in April 2015 and went on to make 132 appearances for the club, scoring 49 goals.
Adams joined Birmingham City in 2016, where he quickly established himself as one of the club's key players and scored 38 goals in 123 appearances. In 2019, he signed for Southampton for a reported fee of approximately £15 million. He was initially used sparingly in his first season with the club but gradually worked his way into the starting lineup and scored nine goals in the 2020-21 season.
Adams is eligible to play for Scotland through his grandmother and made his debut for the national team in March 2021. He has since made several appearances for Scotland, including in their successful qualification campaign for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Adams is known for his pace, strength, and clinical finishing ability, and is considered one of the most promising young strikers in English football.
